Otis 12 months old (Sept 8 2017)

The intense feeling when a child is born

Becomes a fire when the child is born early

1 year on

The boy has grown

Creating an effervescence

Initiating a boil over

Of laughter and provocative joy

Where to next?

Well it’s a matter of finding the way out

After his faithful friend!

Steps along the way

Melbourne City, Australia

Melb lunch

Sunday lunch

within the alleyway

listening to the casual

sounds of mellow music

reminding me of past

experiences

Breathing the air around me

the scents bringing forth

childhood and adolescent

memories

permanently etched

from life with you

holding hands

whispering

“I love you daddy”

Memories of a friend never forgotten

Mural painted on hospice wall
cuddles

Once again

I feel your presence

a vibrant personality

creating another character

impersonating the lead

from a best selling novel

masquerading with symbols and lettered monogram

treading the boards

in flamboyant costume dress

reproducing a travesty

a grotesque representation of another life

a perversion exaggerated

for the created audience

the ending

a farewell

always returning

with no regrets

just dissatisfaction

and self-accusation

at being drawn into role playing

apprehensive

when questioned

keeping secrets hidden

between clouds

in nonfictional memories

Consciousness

a state of being aware of surroundings

or the perception  of existence

The ebb and flow of the tide

assimilating thoughts with presence

Without human intervention

there can be emptiness

Spend time reflecting alone

drifting on calm transparency

Allow yourself to fracture time

with the carriage of another

perceptive human

gracefully

silently

share your niche

Mindfulness

The prefrontal cortex covers the frontal lobe of your brain -when you activate this area by a simple meditation you can achieve self control of negative thoughts changing your life.

This can be achieved with simple breathing exercises – similar to yoga (without the exercise). I am a firm believer that this technique is extremely beneficial to everyone.

This was taught to me 3 months ago and I have used it during times of lets say annoyance at other people and I have to deal with a lot of people 5 days a week!

It has allowed me to stop for a brief amount of time and deal with situations, in a way that is less stressful to myself.

Try these simple steps:

Breathe in and out

Allow yourself to listen and think of  the next breath -(this takes practice but in time can be achieved at any moment)

Breathe in and feel the air filling your lungs-

Feel the expansion of your chest and diaphragm –

Then breathe out –

Feel the air move from your lungs and out through your mouth or nose (whichever is most comfortable for you)

(Your mind will wander with thoughts of daily stress or commitments etc)

When thoughts drift –

concentrate and bring your thoughts back to a breath –

Concentrate on the sensation of the rise and fall of your chest –

Think of the diaphragm expanding and contracting –

The feel of the air entering your body

This is your moment!

Take 5 minutes or however long in your day to create your breath time

Reactivate your mind!

Canberra gardens

Dancing through open doors

past lives connected

with intimate moments

characteristic of two rivers running parallel

only crossing intricate sections

of lunar energy

where everything connects in perfect timing

Heightening body and mind

cycles of lifetimes interconnected

through eternal love

regardless of culture, age or beliefs

Destined to reconnect

reincarnated to walk similar paths

bending timelines

stretching the validity of space

as the gravity of two souls

are pulled together to an earthly grounding

Magnetic energy

caressing fingertips and electrifying thoughts

Pouring a complete lifeforce

from one cup to another
